Match preview - Mon 7th Mar

A look ahead to Monday's fixture in the Barclays Premier League.

Chelsea visit Blackpool in the day's only Barclays Premier League fixture.

Carlo Ancelotti's side rekindled their flagging title hopes by beating leaders Manchester United and now hope to build on that at Bloomfield Road.

However the Seasiders are desperate to bounce back after their crushing 4-0 defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Blackpool v Chelsea

Chelsea have taken seven points from a possible nine on the road while Ian Holloway's men have won one and drawn one in front of their own fans since halting a run of three successive home defeats.

The champions have already beaten Blackpool this season, winning 4-0 at Stamford Bridge in September with first-half goals by Salomon Kalou, Florent Malouda (2) and and own goal by Ian Evatt.

The Tangerines have not beaten Chelsea in the league at Bloomfield Road since their 3-2 success in the old First Division in April 1965.

Since then the Blues have won all seven visits in all competitions.
